Quick answers for parents

Ages, gear, packs, trial, schedule, locations, weather, safety — everything we get asked, in one page.

🎯 Getting started

Do you offer a trial session?
Yes — a single trial session is €10, with the same coaching and group size as a paid session. After the trial you can choose any pack (or none).
What ages can join KidMotion Malta lessons?
Two age tracks. Minis (4–6) train on a flat surface at Birżebbuġa Main Church on Saturdays only. Kids 7+ train at the skatepark — Birżebbuġa Skatepark (Tue – Sat) and Msida Skatepark (Sun & Mon).
What's the difference between Minis and Skatepark sessions?
Minis sessions are for the youngest skaters — calm, flat surface, focus on balance, gentle movement, and confidence. Skatepark sessions are for ages 7+ — structured 15-level progression in real skateparks with terrain and tricks.
How do I book a session?
Use the Schedule page to choose a session, then book online. If you'd rather chat first, message us on WhatsApp.

🛡️ Safety & gear

What equipment is needed?
Rollerblades and knee + elbow pads are required at every session. A helmet is strongly recommended on top of that — it's the easiest way to keep small bumps from becoming big ones. Bring a water bottle too.
My child is nervous. What happens at the first session?
Most kids are nervous at first — completely normal. For beginners, I literally hold them while they ride and gradually let go as they build confidence. Patience is the whole job.
How many kids are in a group?
Maximum 5 kids per group. Smaller groups means real attention, real coaching, real feedback, and safer sessions.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If conditions are unsafe — heavy rain, slippery surfaces — we reschedule. Updates go out via WhatsApp when needed.

💳 Pricing & packs

What packs are available?
Trial €10 • 4-Session Pack €49 • 8-Session Pack €89 (most popular) • 16-Session Pack €149 (best value). See all pricing.
Can I share credits between my kids?
By default each kid has their own credit balance — that's how we keep things clear. If you'd like siblings to share credits, just message us and we'll arrange it.
Do credits expire?
Credits stay on your account so you have plenty of time to use them. We won't surprise-expire what you paid for.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel before the cutoff and your credit is automatically returned to your account. Late cancellations may use the credit — message us and we'll do our best to help.

📅 Schedule & locations

What is the current weekly schedule?

Where are sessions held?
Three venues in Malta. Birżebbuġa Main Church for Minis (4–6) on Saturdays. Birżebbuġa Skatepark for ages 7+ from Tuesday to Saturday. Msida Skatepark for ages 7+ on Sunday and Monday. See location details.
Can my child stay for 2 hours?
Some older kids can book a single hour or stay two consecutive hours, depending on age, level, and coach approval. Ask us if you're unsure.

🏆 Coaching & progress

What is the coaching style?
Play-first. Kids learn faster when sessions feel like games, missions, or challenges — never pressure. Safety and confidence come first, then skills and progression.
How does the 15-level system work?
A clear pathway from first steps (Level 1) to advanced skills (Level 15). Kids move up when ready — after each level, they earn a certificate and a small rollerblade keychain.
